A relatively new company, Systems By Storm was founded in April of 2005 by Jay Storm. Jay brings many years of technical experience to the industry. In high school he worked in two fiberglass shops building and repairing boats, followed by a brief period of restaurant work as a cook. Then got the opportunity to become a diesel apprentice at Seattle Truck Repair in 1976 and attended South Seattle Community College for the four year program. After being a diesel truck mechanic for 13 years, he was introduced to compactors when he started at GK Equipment in December of 1988 as service manager. There he worked successfully helping the sales people spec the right equipment, order it, ship it and install it which included startup and training. In his spare time he handled parts and warranty while managing 2 technicians. In 1994 he went into sales during an ownership change while at GK and after two hard years became successful at that. With yet another ownership change Jay left to join Blankenship Equipment Repair with 6 years of sales experience. There he set up sales for the company and worked for 7 years building the company into one of the nations top 5 compactor distributors for Galbreath compactors . With the loss of Jim Blankenship and the family getting out of sales, Systems By Storm now provides excellent sales and service to it's customers.
